My recovery rocks.

My name is Gillian (pronounced with a hard “g”).
I am super excited to launch this Recovery Rocks Jewelry website. My sobriety date is October 30, 2004. I have raised three beautiful [now adult] children and I live in sunny Southern California. My love of rocks and jewelry began at a young age. My brother and I had a rock tumbler in the 1980s, and I took a jewelry class in high school. The jewelry I made back in the day would always be created special for a friend or a loved one, that’s just how I rolled!

I started wrapping tumbled amethyst stones back in December 2019. I gave them to my friends as gifts for the holiday. I chose an amethyst because the Greek word Amethystos means “not intoxicated”... and my sober friends got a kick out of it!

As it turned out, I found myself at the gem shop and searching the web on a regular basis. It was a new found passion - and a healthy one. I am learning about [and wrapping] all kinds of crystals, gem stones, and rocks. It is wonderful that so many people who I adore love the art as much as I do. Now, I have combined my passion for recovery, people, jewelry, rocks and art to make this marvelous world of Recovery Rocks.

Recovery really does rock!!
